risk in 2010
Aspen Dental’s aggressive expansion will continue in 2010 – the company plans to open at least 55 new offices this year, including its first practices in Nebraska, Minnesota, Tennessee, Maryland and Delaware.
Hiring will be brisk as Aspen Dental continues to aggressively recruit dedicated, talented dentists and other dental health professionals (hygienists, assistants), as well as office staff. In total, Aspen Dental is slated to grow its workforce by approximately 20% in the coming year, or roughly 500 new employees. In addition to staff for its new dental offices, the company expects to add 80 new jobs at its Support Center.
“We invested more than $6 million in training and development in 2009 and remain committed to providing our employees with ample opportunities for growth and professional development,” Fontana added. “We’ve also significantly stepped up our recruitment efforts to better educate dental health professionals about the benefits of a career at Aspen Dental.”
