As the Number of Unemployed Grows, Pfizer Helpful Answers and SABEResPODER Join Forces to Educate Hispanics Who Lack Health Insurance About How to Access Prescription Medicines

s. According to the latest Census data, California has 6,720,000 uninsured residents and more than half are Hispanic. Program participant Elia Ramirez received assistance for her husband through Pfizer Helpful Answers.

"If there is someone out there who needs help affording their medicine, I urge them to seek help with complete confidence from Pfizer Helpful Answers," said Mrs. Ramirez. "I think there are many among our Hispanic community who like me, do not have insurance coverage for their medicines. The help I have received from Pfizer Helpful Answers has been a blessing for me and my husband."

Pfizer Helpful Answers is a family of programs that helps people without prescription coverage save on many Pfizer medicines, no matter their age or income. People with limited income may qualify to get their Pfizer medicines for free. In 2008, Pfizer Helpful Answers provided 97,370 uninsured residents in California with prescription assistance.
