Argus Honored by Flaspohler Research Group as Highest-Rated PBM for 'No Conflicts of Interest'

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Argus Health Systems, Inc., a leading provider of pharmacy benefit administration services, has received an award from the Flaspohler Research Group as the highest-rated pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for "No Conflicts of Interest" in the 2008 PBM Survey of MCOs and Self-Insureds.

To receive the award, Argus was ranked by survey participants based on specific attributes, including not competing with customers for carve-out pharmacy business and independence from pharmaceutical manufacturers or pharmacy chain ownership. This is the second year Argus has received the highest ranking in the No Conflicts of Interest category. "Argus is proud to receive this award, which recognizes our commitment to transparency and full disclosure," said Michael J. Huffer, R.Ph., senior vice president of sales & marketing.

More than 250 people from 240 managed care organizations (MCOs) and self-insureds participated in the annual survey which rates PBMs based on nine categories. Argus has participated in the survey each year since its launch in 2000. This is the first year the Flaspohler Research Group has honored the highest rated PBM in each category.
