April is National Autism Awareness Month: LoJack Hosts Educational Podcast Featuring Panel of Experts Addressing Autism Issues

What: In recognition of April as National Autism Awareness Month, LoJack Corporation (Nasdaq: LOJN) hosted an educational podcast discussion (download at: that provided valuable information related to autism including:

  • The rising incidence of autism in the U.S.
  • Common day-to-day challenges of caring for an autistic child
  • Risks such as the common, yet life-threatening issue of wandering
  • Steps parents and caregivers can take to reduce certain risks such as wandering

The podcast is part of LoJack's educational efforts on issues related to cognitive disorders such as autism and Alzheimer's disease. LoJack recently launched new technology called LoJack SafetyNet, which works with Project Lifesaver International and enables police to track and rescue people at risk of wandering. According to a recent survey by the National Autism Association, a full 92% percent of parents of autistic children believe their children are at risk of wandering.
