Application Development Company Anahata Technologies Announces CentOS As Server OS Of Choice For Enterprise Applications

Anahata Technologies Pty Ltd announced it will be defaulting to CentOS 6 as server side operating system on application development projects. Pablo Rodriguez, co-founder of Anahata, explains this decision: "We are very pleased with CentOS and Linux in general. CentOS is fast, secure and flexible, there is great support from the community and it allows our clients to save on upfront and ongoing operating system licensing fees"

Anahata Technologies solutions are mainly based in open source technology and the three core server side components namely: Java, GlassFish and MySQL which are widely deploy on CentOS and other Linux distributions.

The company declared it will continue to recommend Canonical’s Linux distribution Ubuntu as desktop operating system for enterprise application clients.

With this move, anahata positions itself as one of the few Perth software companies servicing small and medium businesses that deploy, use and recommend Linux for both client and server side.
