Answers On Demand (AOD) and Vocollect Healthcare Systems Announce a 'First in the Industry' Strategic Partnership

Integration of AccuNurse(R) voice-assisted care with Elite Clinical Software brings better quality of care and improved business performance to

Continuing Care Retirement Communities

PITTSBURGH, April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Vocollect Healthcare Systems, Inc. and Answers on Demand (AOD), Inc., announce a strategic partnership that includes integrating AccuNurse voice-assisted care with AOD's industry-leading Elite Clinical & Financial software serving Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC). With this newly established agreement, AOD becomes the first long-term care software provider authorized to sell to its customers the quality of care and financial benefits of AccuNurse voice-assisted care. The interface between Elite and AccuNurse reduces the information overlap between the clinical software in a CCRC and resident point-of-care information.

"Voice-assisted care is a leading and innovative solution for the long-term care market, and our interface with AccuNurse complements our mission to embed the best technologies available with our ERP system. Our strategic partnership with Vocollect will enable us to constantly expand our value-added offerings and give our clients the latest and most efficient capabilities available," said Aric Agmon, President and CEO of Answers on Demand. "There is nothing more important to long-term care facilities than improving admissions efficiencies, ensuring accuracy of data and being more efficient with MDS reporting. That's why the interface with AccuNurse is especially beneficial and why we're excited to offer this enhanced functionality to our clients."

A variety of long-term care facilities have adopted the combined Elite and AccuNurse solution. Peninsula United Methodist Homes, Inc. (PUMH) where AccuNurse is used for point of care across all four of their skilled nursing communities was one of the first. PUMH Cokesbury Village has been using AccuNurse with Elite since early 2007, located in Hockessen, Delaware.

"AccuNurse is now integrated with AOD and it's extremely helpful to our MDS coordinator. For our facility, it's now much easier to complete MDSs and it makes coding more accurate, backed by thorough documentation to support the coding. Our MDS coordinator just sets the seven-day look-back period for a resident, reviews the documentation for accuracy, and pushes a button that bridges the information into the MDS. It's as simple as that." According to Donna Pomeroy, Director of health services for Cokesbury Village.

"AOD customers can now deliver even higher levels of care to their residents with voice-assisted care," said James Quasey, President of Vocollect Healthcare Systems. "This is a significant step forward for both organizations. It shows that together we are committed to providing our respective clients with streamlined information management resulting in improved staffing efficiency, more accurate documentation, and painless data transfer."
