Annual Memorial Day Flower Drop Honors Veterans in Palm Springs California by Brad Schmett
Date:5/23/2013

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) May 23, 2013

Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams, today announced that the already sizzling Palm Springs area real estate market will enjoy yet another boost thanks to the immense popularity of the Annual Memorial Day Flower Drop at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Monday, May 27, 2013.

Culminating the festive three-day weekend, Valley residents will enjoy a full day of programs and events along with flight exhibitions. However, the highlight of the Memorial Day celebrational remembrances will be a vintage B-25 Mitchell bomber dropping 3000 red and white carnations across the tarmac in memory of those who gave their lives for freedom and liberty. The Palm Springs World War II airplane museum is located on the west side of the Palm Springs Airport on Gene Autry Trail.

Family-friendly activities will commence at 10 AM at the Museum. The white carnations are in honor of those who fought in World War I, World War II, Korea and Viet Nam. The contrasting red carnations will honor those who served more recently including the Persian Gulf, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. Schmett recently spoke about the impact this event has on the local real estate market.

“This is one of the most popular holidays of the year. Everyone looks forward to the amazing flower drop and people come from all over to spend a long weekend here in the Coachella Valley. From there it is only a phone call away for visitors to explore the vast inventory of luxury homes we have to offer. Record low interest rates are attracting buyers as never before. It is always enjoyable when we can honor our esteemed veterans and welcome new neighbors to the Palm Springs area.”

Don't miss a day of remembrance with your family at the beautiful Palm Springs air Museu
