Announcing Prime Vendor Contract with LIHPA

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- MMS - A Medical Supply Company announced their renewal as Prime Vendor to Long Island Hospital Purchasing Alliance. The contract naming MMS as the primary supplier of medical/surgical products and equipment to LIHPA is for an additional four years, through December, 2011. It is estimated that this contract represents over $15,000,000 annually. LIHPA is a consortium of four leading independent Long Island Hospitals who joined together to combine their purchasing strength to reduce healthcare costs on Long Island.

Ron Bredow, Director of Materials Management for J.T. Mather, states that, "MMS has partnered with us since we formed the alliance to combine their supply chain expertise with our clinical expertise to reduce costs. They have initiated multiple projects that have generated substantial savings in each of our hospitals."
