Highly regarded Gwinnett County law firm welcomes former law clerk and recent John Marshall Law School graduate

Buford, GA (Lexis Nexis) January 15, 2010 -- The McGarity Group, a Gwinnett County law firm with special expertise in personal injury litigation and family law matters, today announced that Anne Marie Braham has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Braham began her professional career as a law clerk with The McGarity Group in 2007, while attending Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. As a junior staff member, Braham tracked HB 586 from its inception and her legislative history, "HB 586: Public Defense, Amending O.C.G.A. Section 15-6-24," was published in the introductory volume of the John Marshall Law Journal.

Prior to starting her legal career, Braham graduated with honors from Auburn University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the Bar's Family Law Section. Braham is also a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Gainesville Hall County Junior League.

"We're delighted that Anne Marie has joined our firm as an associate, after appreciating her valuable contributions as a law clerk for the past three years," said J. Michael McGarity, the former Gwinnett County Assistant District Attorney who founded The McGarity Group law firm in 2006. "She will be focusing her practice on family law matters, but will also be part of our team for some of the personal injury litigation cases that our firm handles for clients."

The McGarity Group has quickly earned a reputation for having the resources, skills and experience to take on any individual or corporation, frequently handling cases against powerful interests, big business and insurance companies. The firm's areas of practice include personal injury/wrongful death, criminal law, business litigation, divorce/family law, malpractice, eminent domain and condemnation, estate and trust litigation, and real estate litigation.

The McGarity Group was recently named as one of the top law firms in Gwinnett County in Gwinnett Magazine's "Best of Gwinnett 2009" issue. This prestigious designation illustrates how quickly the firm has achieved a reputation for excellence in just four years since its founding.
