Ann Marie DeMatteo Joins CME LLC as Vice President of Educational Initiatives, Drives Innovative Programming Approaches

JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- CME LLC has named Ann Marie DeMatteo Vice President of Educational Initiatives. In her new role, DeMatteo will guide the development of educational programs that address unmet educational needs through activities founded on proven learning adult principles, delivered through innovative formats.

DeMatteo brings to CME LLC more than 16 years of experience in the grant-development cycle; including identification of educational gaps and generation of needs assessment; business development and collaboration; and program planning and execution. Prior to joining CME LLC, DaMatteo was Director of Educational Planning for Applied Clinical Education (ACE) in New York City.

"Being part of CME LLC presents the perfect opportunity to execute a series of what I feel are important concepts -- at the very time when the challenged CME landscape needs them the most," said DeMatteo. "Not only are clinicians hungry for education on topics that address their real-world patient care needs, but they want to learn in new, effective, convenient formats," she continued. "The resources and technology available at CME LLC support this forward-thinking approach to design and delivery of education."

CME LLC is poised to further expand its educational programming in psychiatry, oncology, primary care, and practice management into new learning formats, particularly via web-delivered and on-demand activities. Melissa Warner, CME LLC Executive VP and General Manager, said of DeMatteo's arrival: "We invited Ann Marie to join us because her experience and creative approach are an exact match to our current focus of providing solid education in ways that are easily accessible to clinicians, engaging, and measurable." She added, "We've already benefited from Ann Marie's ability to combine her expert knowledge of CME with a progressive vision about reaching clinicians in ways that are meaningful to their practices."
