Palm Beach Gardens, FL (PRWEB) August 27, 2009 -- Anesthetix Management, LLC (Anesthetix) announces the rollout of its state-of-the-art computerized quality and service management tool, OPTIMETRIX(TM).

OPTIMETRIX(TM) is the result of years of Anesthetix' well-honed clinical and business best practices in anesthesiology services and perioperative processes, and stems from Anesthetix' desire to prove its success and value in achieving the highest benchmark standards. It is a computerized, metrics-driven platform which allows Anesthetix' groups and hospital customers to continuously measure and improve clinical outcomes and operational processes. Notably, OPTIMETRIX(TM) incorporates an electronic data collections system to allow for comprehensive data collection, analysis and reporting, of over 80 data points, including Joint Commission Indicators, SCIP Indicators, PQRI, HCAHPS measures, timely OR case starts, improved surgeon and patient satisfaction, and productivity benchmarking metrics. With OPTIMETRIX(TM) in place, a hospital's anesthesia and surgery department can work together on a real-time basis to measure and improve both the quality of care and the service they provide to their customers, helping establish themselves as the facility of choice to patients, surgeons, and payors.

Under the direction of its Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sonya Pease, Anesthetix is now offering OPTIMETRIX(TM) to hospitals and ASC's in addition to its turn-key anesthesia practice development and management service, providing valuable feedback to its facility and clinician partners on a regular basis and further enhancing the overall value proposition of Anesthetix to its hospitals, surgeons, anesthesiologists, patients, and insurers throughout the United States.

"At Anesthetix, we have always worked hard to 'set the standard' by developing, achieving and maintaining system-wide clinical and business 'best practices', and now with OPTIMETRIX(TM) we can concretely prove our success," said Steven M. Gottlieb, MD, President and CEO of Anesthetix. "Our goal is to constantly improve and evidence the superior care and service we provide at Anesthetix (e.g., low complication rates, minimized case delays and cancellations, faster case turnover times, improved operating room throughput, improved surgeon and patient satisfaction, etc.) and how this benefits our customers--hospitals, surgeons, patients, insurers. OPTIMETRIX(TM) allows us to go one step further and demonstrate our performance in a factual, data-driven manner, as opposed to just 'feeling like we're doing a good job'. It provides our facility and surgeon customers with added confidence in Anesthetix as their anesthesia partner."

Tushar Ramani, MD, Chief Operating Officer, added, "Hospitals today are investing more and more resources into protecting and growing their surgical service revenues, and in this environment, we understand that it is more important than ever for hospitals to hold their anesthesia service groups accountable for superior performance. OPTIMETRIX(TM) puts Anesthetix and our partners ahead of the curve by allowing us to proactively measure our success at delivering on our promise of top-notch, industry-leading medical care, and then go a step further by working to optimize our results."
