Andy Tate, North Star Resource Group Advisor, Named One of Medical Economics' '150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors'
Date:11/7/2008

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Andy Tate, a financial advisor with Minneapolis-based North Star Resource Group, has been named one of Medical Economics' "150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors" in 2008. The list of top advisors will appear in the magazine's Nov. 7th issue and is based on nominations from clients and survey data completed by advisors.

"We're thrilled that Andy has received this recognition," said Dave Vasos, co-president and chief financial officer of North Star Resource Group. "It reflects his deep commitment and dedication to his clients and his knowledge of the unique financial needs of physicians."

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Tate has been a financial advisor since 2001 and works with clients in Minnesota and Kansas. He focuses his business on assisting physicians with debt reduction and restructuring, wealth accumulation and distribution. He frequently presents to resident and fellows during their training to discuss financial issues affecting them during residency and fellowships, and also presents to practicing physicians on benefits plans, wealth accumulation and retirement planning.

"There is no question that medical residents and physicians face unique challenges in their financial lives and careers," said Tate. "I enjoy working with and helping them, and it's a great honor to be recognized by Medical Economics."

Tate is a five-year member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) -- a prestigious industry association that recognizes the top-performing financial advisors worldwide -- and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is a Certified Long-Term Care Consultant and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP(R)).

Tate donates time and money to many health-care and service-focused organizations, including MN Autism Society, Special Olympics, Cystic Fibrosis of Minnesota, and the Leukemia Association of Kansas City, among others.
