Amplifon USA Hosts Inaugural 5K Walk or Run for Your Senses
Date:9/13/2013

Plymouth, MN (PRWEB) September 13, 2013

Amplifon USA, parent company to Miracle-Ear, the nation’s largest hearing aid retailer, is hosting an inaugural 5K Walk or Run for Your Senses. As parent company to the hearing solution business, they actively support the Miracle-Ear Foundation, providing underprivileged children and adults hearing instruments. The race will kick off at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 14th at the Plymouth Creek Athletic Club, raising money to benefit the Miracle-Ear Foundation Gift of Sound hearing aid program.

Amplifon USA President and CEO, Heinz Ruch, has made a commitment to support the    Miracle-Ear Foundation, a Minneapolis-based non-profit organization. Established in 1990, the Miracle-Ear Foundation was created to enhance the life experiences of families and individuals of limited means through the gift of sound. To date, the Miracle-Ear Foundation working with Miracle-Ear centers across the country has donated more than 6,500 hearing aids to over 4,100 individuals nationwide.

“Every day we utilize our senses to see, touch, taste, smell and hear our environment around us. These senses are vital to our home and work life,” said Ruch. “As a worldwide leader in the hearing industry, we are dedicated to providing others the sense of hearing. That’s why Amplifon USA is hosting a 5K to raise money and awareness for a cause that will enhance lives of others.”

2013 marks the first year Amplifon USA will host an event to this caliber. Currently, 104 participants are registered for the event. All participants were encouraged to seek pledges that will be donated to the Miracle-Ear Foundation. The race and event would not be possible without the support and contributions provided from local sponsors, Crowne Plaza Hotel and Plymouth Creek Athletic Club.

“We are grateful for the generosity of Amplifon USA friends, family, and donors who will come out
