Date:5/6/2013

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) May 06, 2013

Amirsys, the authority in radiology, pathology, and anatomy medical information, debuts the Amirsys Reference Centers at the Medical Library Association (MLA) in Boston this week. The Amirsys Reference Centers provide a suite of online radiology, pathology, and anatomy references for the whole institution.

“Regardless of their specialty, physicians, nurses, residents, researchers, students, and educators rely on radiology, pathology, and anatomy knowledge as the three key pillars used across all of medicine,” says Ric Harnsberger, Professor of Radiology at University of Utah School of Medicine and Co-CEO of Amirsys. “The Amirsys Reference Centers make essential radiology, pathology, and anatomy information available to every medical professional within a medical network or hospital.”

The Amirsys Reference Centers suite includes three products: Imaging Reference Center, Pathology Reference Center, and Anatomy Reference Center. The reference centers are comprehensive, image-rich collections of classic diagnoses and clinical anatomy topics appropriate for a broad audience of medical professionals. The topics were written, and are maintained, by renowned experts and supported by thousands of journal references.

The Imaging Reference Center includes best-practice imaging recommendations for over 4,000 classic radiology diagnoses. The resource also includes over 72,000 best-of images, including x-ray, CT, MR, ultrasound, and full-color graphics, providing healthcare professionals with expert-selected examples at a glance.

The Pathology Reference Center includes pathology testing recommendations for more than 2,100 diagnoses to promote efficient, accurate, and cost-effective use of pathology resources. The resource is image rich, with more than 36,000 images, including gross pathology images, H&E stains, IHC stains, correlative images, and colored graphics.

The Anatomy Reference Center delivers fundamental, comprehensive anatomy knowledge for the busy practitioner. It is a comprehensive gross and imaging anatomy resource with thousands of images and references to 15,000 anatomy structures, spaces, and locations.
