American Well Systems CEO Roy Schoenberg to Present Live Public Demo of First Online Care Service at Health 2.0 Conference
Date:10/17/2008

BOSTON, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- American Well today announced that CEO Roy Schoenberg, MD, MPH; Elif Eracar, vice president, product management; and Michael Stollar, vice president of marketing and communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Hawaii (HMSA), will provide a live, public demonstration of Online Care, which is going live for all Hawaii residents in January 2009. This "Deep Dive Demonstration" will take place at 10:00 a.m. PDT on October 23, 2008 at San Francisco's Health 2.0 conference. Dr. Schoenberg will then participate in a panel discussion at 10:45 a.m. PDT focused on how innovative new tools, including Online Care, can fundamentally change the way healthcare is delivered for consumers.

The "Deep Dive Demonstration" will showcase how easily consumers using Online Care can connect with the right physician for them and, within moments, have a consultation. It will be presented live and in real-time, giving attendees a sneak peek at the actual experience of consumers and physicians interacting through this service.

Later that morning, at 10:45 a.m., Dr. Schoenberg will join other esteemed panelists for a session titled, "Tools for Consumers." This discussion focuses on tools as the third leg of the Health 2.0 "stool," along with search and community. It examines how today's innovations can transform care by offering consumers personalized information that enables decisions and transactions.

Additionally, Yael Glassman, vice president of marketing at American Well, will participate in a panel titled, "Health 2.0 Platforms for Patient-Provider Communication." The panel will be held at 4:10 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.

Health 2.0: User-Generated Healthcare will be held at the San Francisco Marriott from October 22 - 23. The conference focuses on Web 2.0 technologies, healthcare and all points between, covering everything from innovations in search to healthcare-focused social networks and consumer sites to trends in wellness and personalized medicine.
