American Telemedicine Association Announces Insurance Brokerage Partnership with HUB Healthcare Solutions
Date:9/9/2013

Washingon, DC (PRWEB) September 09, 2013

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is proud to announce a partnership with HUB Healthcare Solutions, a division of HUB International New England, LLC, a provider of insurance brokerage and risk consulting services to healthcare providers across North America and Canada.

“Telemedicine offers incredible opportunities for advancement in care delivery, but with those opportunities come new challenges and risks for providers,” said Jonathan Linkous, ATA’s chief executive officer. “It’s important that clinicians involved in telemedicine, telehealth, mHealth, eHealth, and connected health are equipped with appropriate insurance coverage as the industry grows and matures.”

HUB Healthcare Solutions focuses on specific risks faced by individuals, institutions and corporations in telemedicine. From professional liability, technology errors and omissions, to cyber liability and patient data privacy, HUB is a full service national broker. HUB works to assist clients in protecting and understanding their complete risk profile and available coverage options.

ATA is a unique organization in that it is both a professional society for clinicians and individuals using telemedicine in their practice, and a trade organization for institutions and companies proving telemedicine products and services. This partnership will ensure that members, and other organizations, are aware of the risks involved in this dynamic industry which is evolving rapidly as new regulations and legal precedents are set.
