About the American Society of Medical Doctors

The ASMD was founded to work towards an American health care system in which the relationship between physicians and their patients is free from interference by government, the insurance industry, lawyers, or other outside influences; to protect American health care from proposals or legislation that endanger patients' freedom to choose their doctors; and to ensure the American health care system is based on free market principles that allow patients and their doctors to achieve the highest quality care and reasonable costs.
