American Right to Life Endorses U.S. Senator Roger Wicker's 'Life at Conception Act'
Date:6/26/2008

DENVER, June 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "The time is right and the wording is excellent," said Brian Rohrbough, president of American Right to Life. "This bill recognizes the God-given Right to Life of every human being and by doing so, without compromise, it will end the slaughter of innocent children."

S.3111, introduced by Senator Roger Wicker (R) MS, has ten co-sponsors and is scheduled for debate in the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

"Our founding fathers could never have imagined a time when our nation would murder millions of its most innocent citizens each year. We believe the 14th amendment arguments created by this bill address precisely what the framers were trying to do when they wrote; '...nor shall any State deprive any person of life.'"

"ARTL applauds these Republican leaders for rejecting the failed strategy of regulating abortion in favor of ending abortion by granting personhood protection without exception," added Steve Curtis, the VP of ARTL and the former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party.

"ARTL urges these valiant legislators to reject any compromised language brought forth as the measure moves through the legislative process, and further implores all pro-lifers to whole-heartedly support this bill as introduced."
