American Lung Association in Minnesota: Motorists Can Get 85 Cents a Gallon E85 Fuel in Woodbury, Minn.
Date:8/24/2009

WOODBURY, Minn., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Fill up your tank for 85 cents a gallon? That's the price for the first 25 flexible fuel vehicles owners who line up for a 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. promotion at the BP Daily Express, 1569 Woodlane Drive in Woodbury, Minn. on Friday, August 28. For all others buying E85 fuel during the promotion, the price will be reduced by 85 cents per gallon. The price of B5 biodiesel fuel will also be discounted by 10 cents a gallon during the promotion. There is a 30 gallon limit, and all participants must be driving a flexible fuel vehicle that can use either E85 or gasoline. See the list of vehicles at www.CleanAirChoice.org.

"Choosing E85 instead of gasoline isn't just good for your pocketbook, it also helps to prevent air pollution," said Kelly Marczak, director of the American Lung Association in Minnesota's Clean Air Choice program, which supports the use of E85. "Tailpipe emissions from vehicles are the single largest source of air pollution in Minnesota, so any step we can take as individuals to drive less, use mass transit, and buy cleaner-burning fuels is important to everyone."

The event is sponsored by Woodbury BP Daily Express, Minnesota Corn Growers Association, Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, the Minnesota Clean Air Choice Team and the American Lung Association in Minnesota.
