American Lung Association in Florida Joins Anti-Recession Campaign by Forming Strategic Alliance With

MIAMI, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- LLC (iARC) announced today that they have selected the American Lung Association in Florida (ALAF) as the anti-recession movement's lead charitable partner. iARC ( is a unique leadership opportunity for businesses, consumers and charities alike to "opt out" of the recession.

iARC gives consumers the opportunity to find great discounts and engage in philanthropic support of charitable organizations. Consumers can visit for savings and the chance to win flat screen televisions, iPods(R) and other great prizes by donating to the online charities.

The American Lung Association in Florida joins NTM Info & Research as the lead charitable partner in the iARC campaign. Founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis, the American Lung Association works to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Lung disease death rates continue to increase while other leading causes of death have declined. The American Lung Association funds vital research on lung disease, provides education and support programs to adults and children, and advocates for stronger air laws and tobacco prevention. NTM Info & Research is a nonprofit organization devoted to nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease, a devastating and increasingly common chronic lung illness mostly affecting women.

iARC was started by Miami businessmen Philip Leitman and Larry Suchman and their family-owned business, Suchman Retail Group, a commercial real estate company that has been a strong presence in South Florida for almost 50 years.
