Date:8/17/2009

MIAMI, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- i-am-anti-recession.com LLC (iARC) announced today that they have selected the American Lung Association in Florida (ALAF) as the anti-recession movement's lead charitable partner. iARC (www.i-am-anti-recession.com) is a unique leadership opportunity for businesses, consumers and charities alike to "opt out" of the recession.

iARC gives consumers the opportunity to find great discounts and engage in philanthropic support of charitable organizations. Consumers can visit i-am-anti-recession.com for savings and the chance to win flat screen televisions, iPods(R) and other great prizes by donating to the online charities.

"This unique venture is a true partnership in which consumers can support local businesses and charitable organizations like the American Lung Association, an outstanding organization that does amazing work in the community," noted Philip Leitman, Chief Innovator of i-am-anti-recession LLC.

The American Lung Association in Florida joins NTM Info & Research as the lead charitable partner in the iARC campaign. Founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis, the American Lung Association works to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Lung disease death rates continue to increase while other leading causes of death have declined. The American Lung Association funds vital research on lung disease, provides education and support programs to adults and children, and advocates for stronger air laws and tobacco prevention. NTM Info & Research is a nonprofit organization devoted to nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease, a devastating and increasingly common chronic lung illness mostly affecting women.

"For more than a century the American Lung Association has been working for healthy lungs and healthy air. We are excited be a partner in this campaign. It is a great way for the public to continue their support of our association's fight for air while at the same time, receiving wonderful rewards," said Martha Bogdan, President and CEO of the American Lung Association in Florida.

iARC was started by Miami businessmen Philip Leitman and Larry Suchman and their family-owned business, Suchman Retail Group, a commercial real estate company that has been a strong presence in South Florida for almost 50 years.

Businesses are encouraged to combat the recession by joining the i-am-anti-recession.com campaign.
