American Laser Centers is also offering the following "Big Night Beauty" tips to keep in mind when preparing for your own big event.

  • Plan Accordingly - Whether it's a skin rejuvenation treatment or even a regular facial, make sure to schedule beauty treatments at least a few weeks in advance. Skin rejuvenation treatments such as FotoFacial stimulate collagen production and remove older, outer skin layers and will leave you with newly-toned and revitalized skin. However, keep in mind that adequate healing time is needed for some treatments before you're planning to make your grand entrance.

  • Keep Hydrated - Drinking water is the single most important fuel to keep our skin looking healthy and vibrant. Water lessens the amount of toxins in our system and helps to keep our skin clear and balanced.

  • Stick to Your Routine - While hot new products may offer quick fixes that become more attractive as you get closer to your event, trying new products, including makeup, the week or night of an event can wreak havoc on your skin. Keep your skin care routine as normal as possible leading up to an event - including cleansing and moisturizing - as you never know how your skin will react to a new product.

  • Is There Anything I Should Eat to Help Look My Best? Foods that are rich in antioxidants are not only good for your general health, but can also play a role in maintaining healthy skin. Foods such as dark chocolate, berries, red wine (in moderation) and green leafy veggies are all great options for increasing the level of antioxidants in your diet. Good fats such as mono unsaturated fatty acids which are found in olive oil, nuts and avocados are also good for skin health.
