American Heart Association Web Site Now Offers Content Translated Into Traditional Chinese
Date:4/23/2009

DALLAS, April 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Two hundred forty-two pages of widely used heart disease and stroke information has been translated into Traditional Chinese and is now available on the American Heart Association's Web site at www.americanheart.org.

The Traditional Chinese content is a new offering from the association, which already offers content in Spanish, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese.

The translated content comes from three highly trafficked areas of the American Heart Association's Web site:

  • Diseases and Conditions -- information that helps people who have heart disease or stroke understand and better manage their disease.
  • Healthy Lifestyle -- information to help people reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.
  • Heart and Stroke Encyclopedia -- a quick-reference guide with brief, authoritative information on a wide range of cardiovascular topics.

To access the translated content, go to www.americanheart.org and click on the desired language link. These links are also at the top right corner of every Web page so those who enter the Web site without going to the homepage can still get the heart-health information in their preferred language.
