American Diabetes Wholesale Becomes A Major Sponsor For ‘Downhill For Diabetes’ Fund Raising Event

Pompano Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 13, 2013

American Diabetes Wholesale announced that they have become a major sponsor for the ‘Downhill For Diabetes’ fundraiser for the second year in a row. The event, held at Pico Mountain Resort, in Killington, Vermont, will take place on February 24, 2013. Beginning at 8AM, the day-long event will include skiing and snowboarding with the focus of raising money for diabetes research.

Similar to a charity walk or run, the skiers and snowboarders participating in the event will seek donations from businesses, family, and friends for their efforts. One hundred percent of the proceeds collected during the event will go directly towards researching a cure for diabetes.

‘We are excited to once again be a major sponsor for the ‘Downhill For Diabetes’ event. ‘Donations for Diabetes’ is a fantastic team and we applaud their efforts to raise public awareness about Type 1 diabetes,’ says Chris Maguire, Vice-President and co-founder.

The event is being hosted by Donations for Diabetes, a non-profit organization based in Vermont. The 2013 event is the third ‘Downhill For Diabetes’ run and their goal is to surpass the 2012 donation total of $14,500.00.

‘I want to thank American Diabetes Wholesale for their generous donation and wonderful support for our event for the second year in a row! Every amount donated makes us that much closer to helping our daughter and all the other people who suffer from this disease. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’ says Lynn Pratt, co-founder of Donation for Diabetes.
