Alta Bates Medical Group (ABMG) Teams With Illumisys, LLC to Promote Quality of Care to Patients and Increase Adoption and Use of Health Information Technologies.

The two organizations will help increase providers' online access to information through redesign and consolidation of Internet-based technologies and provide outreach support for over 400 physicians in a 50-physician practice pilot.

SAN FRANCISCO, July 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Alta Bates Medical Group (ABMG) is taking a leadership role to enhance the level of service and support to its provider members and their patients. The East Bay physician organization is working with Illumisys, LLC, to implement a rapid cycle of physician adoption and deployment strategies along with consolidation of various technology solutions available to its physicians and patients via the Internet. This will ensure that ABMG's web presence is practical, informative and provider and patient friendly.

"We hope that this new relationship will promote quality care and enhance physician and patient communication initiatives, in part, through the use of technology."

Illumisys, LLC, a San Francisco based health information technology consulting firm, will provide planning, training and implementation project management services. In conjunction with ABMG, Illumisys consultants will complete practice assessments and workflow analyses and subsequently, develop and implement adoption strategies along with physician communication and education programs. Working with RelayHealth, Illumisys staff will reach out to physicians and provide localized support for physician and office staff training and education. They will also work with Sutter Connect to create an easily accessible ABMG web portal for its physicians and patients.
