Allsup Receives Dorland Health 2013 Case In Point Platinum Award

Allsup has been honored with Dorland Health’s Case in Point Platinum Award in the Disability Case Management Programs category. The Platinum Awards program, now in its fourth year, recognizes outstanding case management professionals and organizations committed to ensuring the case management system is patient- and family-centric, safe and effective. Allsup is a nationwide provider of Social Security Disability Insurance(SSDI) representation, veterans disability appeal and Medicare plan selection services.

“We are so appreciative of this recognition,” said Karen Hercules-Doerr, healthcare executive and director of Community-Based Representatives (CBR) for Allsup. “Our community-based representatives work diligently to help case managers, social workers and their patients better understand their options, especially as they relate to achieving long-term financial security and better health. We’d like to thank the professional case managers and social workers who have made this award possible.”

The awards program highlights the innovative and creative work across the healthcare system that improves access, promotes wellness and ensures safe transitions of care through effective care coordination across the care continuum, according to a press release from Dorland Health.

Allsup’s community-based representatives were recognized for their initiative, which provides resources and training to healthcare providers, including case managers and social workers. Allsup’s program is designed to help healthcare professionals reach individuals with chronic, long-term impairments who may be at risk for losing health insurance,
