5. Does the plan cover medical equipment?
Traditional Medicare covers durable medical equipment (e.g., reusable medical equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs and hospital beds) so long as it's medically necessary. Medicare Advantage plans are required to cover the same things as traditional Medicare. However, costs between plans vary and may be lower with Medicare Advantage plans.
