Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina Presents Works of Heart, a Fundraising Art Extravaganza - More Information at http://www.worksofheart.org.
Date:9/22/2018

From 1991 to 2012, Works of Heart raised more than one million dollars for the Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina’s programs and clients, all thanks to the generous artists, sponsors, and patrons who supported what became the Triangle’s premier art auction.

A lot has changed since 1991—about HIV/AIDS, about community response to HIV/AIDS, about the Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina, and (now) about Works of Heart. The auction returns in 2018 with a new format, in a new venue, but (as always) still dependent on the generosity of the artists and attendees who make it possible (thank you!).

In the 27th year since its first auction, Works of Heart will feature 27 works by 27 artists in one exciting live auction at Contemporary Art Museum on Sunday, September 23rd, from 5–8pm. Please join us as all are invited to take part in this joyous evening.

WOH2018 artists are: Anthony Ulinski, Bill Hickman, Bob Rankin, Bruce Couch, Chuck Rose, Connie Pappalardo, David Molesky, Eric Raddatz, Gayle Stott Lowry, Gerry Lynch, Grace Li Wang, Jaimon Caceres, Jason Craighead, Joann Couch, John Gaitenby, Joyce Watkins King, Lori White, Marriott Little, Mickey Gault, Murphy Ayala, Paul Hrusovsky, Philip Thomas Lopez, Sean W. Byrne, Stephen White, Thomas Sayre, Watson Brown, and Yuko Nogami Taylor. For more information please go to https:http://www.worksofheart.org.

Artwork is representational, non-objective, figurative, abstract; works on paper, canvas, linen, wood, metal, masonite; paintings, photographs, drawings, assemblages; works in oil, acrylic, automotive paint, graphite, colored pencil, ink, charcoal, wax, tar, textile, silkscreen, oyster shells, silver flakes, gold leaf. Artwork may be viewed at http://www.worksofheart.org.

A preview reception with the artists begins at 5:00. The auction (conducted by Auctioneer Leland Little) begins at 6:00. Tickets ($25) are available through the website and at the door.
