Allergy Alert on Undeclared Soy Ingredient in Bulk Cases of GFS Ultra-Pasteurized Non-Dai...( WHITE BEAR LAKE Minn. March 13 /-...),Health

WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohler Mix Specialties of Minnesota, LLC announced today that it is voluntarily recalling bulk 464-count cases of 3/8 fluid ounce cups of GFS Ultra-Pasteurized Non-Dairy Creamer with a "Use By" date of 4/08/2008, "Reorder No." 427233 and Universal Product Code (UPC) of 93901427236. The recall was initiated because individual cups in the bulk cases may be labeled Half & Half Creamer and contain Non-Dairy Creamer, which contain a soy-based ingredient. No other code dates or GFS products are involved in this recall.

Some individuals with allergies to soy run the risk of a serious reaction if they consume the mislabeled cups. No allergic reactions have been reported. If you do not have a soy allergy, the product is safe to consume.

The affected cases were distributed and sold to food service operators in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi and sold in all GFS Marketplace Stores. Kohler Mix Specialties is working to actively recover any remaining cases.

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE RECALLED PRODUCT

This recall includes only bulk cases of 464-count cases of GFS

Ultra-Pasteurized Non-Dairy Creamer with a "Use By" date of 04/08/2008,

"Reorder No." 427233 and UPC # 93901427236 located on the side of the case.

No other code dates or GFS products are involved in this recall.
