Bay Area Start-up takes the first step in offering nationwide services

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, December 19, Alijor.com announced its plan to expand its services to four major cities nationwide. Alijor began serving California's San Francisco Bay Area during the summer of 2007, and is now expanding to San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. The company hosts a website where healthcare providers and patients communicate in an "online healthcare community."

"We reached our market saturation goals for the Bay Area much faster than we had originally planned," says founder, Allison Guimard. "We're very excited to be moving on to other areas as we continue to carry out our mission nationwide."

"Our vision is to bring patients and providers together and give them a place to connect online," says Guimard. "The internet is changing the way people manage their health, and Alijor makes it easier for patients to find the right healthcare provider."
