Date:6/25/2013

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 25, 2013

Professionals who work with seniors will have the unique opportunity to expand their knowledge by sharing in the insights from financial advisors, health professionals, technology experts and regulators, while at the same time building their networks. The Society for Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) annual conference will take place in Orlando, Florida on August 7-9, 2013.

With a focus on small businesses, the conference will nonetheless provide important information on global and national trends that will affect seniors and all who work with them, kicking off with a keynote address from the Honorable Dorcas Hardy, MBA, CSA, and former Commissioner of Social Security. Ms. Hardy will speak on the Booming Dynamics of Aging: Meeting the Challenges of the Emerging Senior Majority. Recognizing and Preventing Financial Abuse, Ethical Dilemmas in Aging and Positioning Your Business for Growth are some of the sessions that will help attendees learn and improve their services to seniors while at the same time improving their business acumen.

Other speakers include Dr. Majd Alwan, Senior Vice President of Technology and Executive Director at the Leading Age Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST), Erika T. Walker, MBA, MsED, CSA, Principal and Owner of Sage Wave Consulting, LLC, and Clint Niemeyer, of the Alabama Securities Commission. A plenary address from AARP’s Dr. Harry R. Moody will highlight the ways senior advisors can help guide their clients through the essential choices people face in later life.

Certified Senior Advisors and any professional with an interest in working with older Americans can register for the conference taking place at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa just outside Orlando, Florida. Spaces are limited, and registration is available online at
