Aflac Celebrates With Peterson's Harley Davidson of Miami as 100,000th Online Billing Customer

Insurer donates $10,000 to The Diabetes Research Institute of Miami on

behalf of the motorcycle franchisee

COLUMBUS, Ga., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Aflac presented a $10,000 check to The Diabetes Research Institute of Miami in honor of Peterson's Harley Davidson of Miami, Fla. During a brief ceremony, the leading voluntary insurer announced the motorcycle franchisee as its 100,000th Online Billing account and donated $10,000 to the Institute. Dirk Peterson, vice president of Peterson's Harley Davidson of Miami, along with Lance Osborne, Aflac's vice president of Field Force Development, presented the $10,000 check to the foundation.

"Aflac is very pleased to make a donation to The Diabetes Research Institute on behalf of Peterson's Harley Davidson of Miami," said Osborne. "This celebration is a great way for Aflac to show its appreciation for our customers while giving back to the community. We constantly strive to provide quality service to our customers, and the convenience of our Online Billing service helps us to do this."

Aflac's Online Billing is a part of the company's Online Services system and is available at aflac.com. Online Services provides businesses with the convenience of accessing their account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system allows Aflac accounts to reconcile and pay invoices online, as well as update account information and download commonly used forms. Aflac began offering Online Billing in 2001.

"Motorcycles are a culture, and about half of my employees were customers at one time. They're specialists and highly skilled, which makes them very sought-after. To attract and keep them here we have to provide something besides advancement opportunities, family atmosphere and camaraderie.
