Aesthetics and Skin Care Center Offers New Laser and Laser Treatment Expert
Date:7/30/2013

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) July 30, 2013

Lasers can be used for a variety of medical purposes. Since the laser beam is so small and precise, it allows doctors to safely treat tissue without injuring the surrounding area. Lasers may be used to treat and or remove the following: varicose veins, spider veins, wrinkles, tattoos,  acne scarring, sun damage, and rosacea.

HealthCrave Medical Centers are proud to have one of the leading experts in dermatology and laser treatment, Dr. Chad Hivnor.  Chad M. Hivnor, M.D., serves as a specialist in HealthCrave’s Aesthetic and Skin Center and Anti-Aging Center.  He is a Board Certified Dermatologist, who is a fellowship trained in Dermatologic Surgery.

HealthCrave provides superior treatment along with state of the art equipment.  HealthCrave’s Aesthetic and Skin Care Center utilize lasers by Lumenis, and have recently acquired the most recent updated version of the Lumenis laser already offered by them, which is the M22.  The M22 is the highest standard platform for the treatment of skin conditions and hair removal.  This laser is used by physicians all over the world.  The M22 is the multi-application platform that allows doctors to treat more types of patients and conditions with better outcomes.  This new laser has added the new ResurFX module for non-abiative fractional skin resurfacing.

Dr. Hivnor is one of the nation's foremost laser experts in the country.  Laser therapy is any treatment using intense beams of light to precisely cut, burn, or destroy tissue. The term laser is an acronym for "light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation."  Dr. Hivnor has done extensive research in lasers, cosmetics, onychomycosis (toe nail fungus), skin cancer, and scars. He was also awarded a $1.1 million dollar grant to collaborate with Harvard University to study lasers effects on scars and functional improvement after scars and surgery.
