Aesthetic Surgery Journal receives APEX Award for Publication Excellence
Date:7/19/2012

Los Angeles, CA (July 19, 2012) Aesthetic Surgery Journal (published by SAGE) was recently honored by the editors of Writer's Web Watch with an Annual Awards for Publication Excellence Competition (APEX) award in the category of Magazines & Journals Electronic & Web. APEX awards are open to communicators in corporate, nonprofit and independent settings across 11 different categories.

The 2012 APEX Awards received a total of 3,382 entries of which seven were chosen for recognition in the category of electronic magazines and journals. Entries are judged based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability of the publication to communicate effectively in the opinion of the judges.

"To be recognized by APEX for publication excellence is a real honor for Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and all of the other 18 affiliated societies it represents across the globe," said Bob Howard, Executive Director of SAGE Journals. "Here at SAGE, we are proud to be a part of the journal's growth and development over the last two years and look forward to years of continued success with this esteemed publication."

The Aesthetic Surgery Journal (AES) is an official publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It publishes original peer-reviewed research relevant to the safe and effective practice of aesthetic surgery and its relationship to the full range of medical and health care fields.

APEX is sponsored by the editors of Writer's Web Watch, an e-newsletter published by Communications Concepts, Inc. that targets communicators that are associated with business publications. The panel of judges includes editors and publishers from both Communications Concepts, Inc. and Writer's Web Watch.
