AegisLiving Purchases Property in Bellevue for New Senior Living Community
Date:10/15/2008

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- AegisLiving, a national leader in retirement, assisted living, and memory care communities, is pleased to announce the recent purchase of a property in Bellevue. The Bellevue location is the latest addition for the company, which has implemented a growth plan to serve the increasing needs for retirement communities throughout the West Coast. Set to open in early 2010, the new location will feature assisted living and memory care apartments. It will be the 12th Aegis community in the Puget Sound region, which also operates 22 communities in California and Nevada.

AegisLiving purchased the property, located in Bellevue at 148 102nd Ave SE, in August 2008 and has contracted with Polygon Construction, which has already begun construction to bring it up to Aegis standards for living. Once completed, it will feature expansive common areas and a variety of apartment styles, offering 68 assisted living apartments and 18 Life's Neighborhood(TM) apartments serving those living with memory care issues.

"We know for a fact that the eastside is in need of more senior communities, when this property became available we knew it would be a choice location," says Dwayne J. Clark, founder and CEO of AegisLiving. "Even in these tough times, we provide a service that is needed by so many families."

The new Bellevue community, which will be the second for Aegis in Bellevue, will include a wide array of amenities including a private movie theater, library, massage, and saloon. To facilitate a vibrant lifestyle, Aegis residents will be encouraged to enjoy a large variety of services including the brain gym, food theatre kitchen, card room, craft room, full exercise gym, activity garden and outdoor sensory garden for Memory Care. The community will also include secured underground parking and will offer a variety of dining options for residents including patio dining, private dining room, and bistro.
