Aegis Health Group Tapped by White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles to Help Strengthen Local Physician Relationships
Date:10/20/2009

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Aegis Health Group, the nation's leading healthcare business-development company, announced today that it has entered into an engagement with White Memorial Medical Center (WMMC) in Los Angeles to help the 354-bed facility further strengthen its relationships with the local physician community.

Aegis' Physician Relationship Management program combines the latest technology with a high-touch approach that helps hospitals better connect with their medical staff's needs and professional goals. Using Aegis' proprietary software, PRISM, White Memorial Medical Center will be able to record and track vital data about physicians' utilization patterns and respond to individual doctor's requests in a personal and efficient manner.

"Forging a strong and trusting relationship between hospitals and physicians allows everyone to better address the needs of patients while assuring that the hospital operates in the most efficient and effective manner," said Rochell Pierce, vice president of Aegis. "As physicians face ever-increasing demands on their time, hospitals like White Memorial are smart to proactively reach out to their local physician community to find ways that they can better work together to enhance patient care."

Strategic physician relationship management programs allow hospitals to attract and retain top physicians and increase patient volume and revenue. The most effective initiatives are measurable, sustainable and require accountability.

A thought paper, entitled "Physician Relationship Management: Ensuring the Stability and Vitality of Today's Hospitals," exploring the components of a successful physician relationship program is available free from aegisgroup.com.
