Aegis Health Group Hires Pearson Talbert as Chief Development Officer
Date:12/2/2009

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Aegis Health Group, the nation's leading healthcare business development company, has appointed Pearson Talbert as chief development officer. As a member of Aegis' executive management team, Talbert will provide leadership and vision to the sales and marketing staff as they focus on solutions to help hospitals grow revenues through employer partnerships and physician relationships.

To this newly created position, Talbert brings 15 years' healthcare business development and operational management experience. Immediately prior to joining Aegis, he served as vice president of sales and business development for Ingram & Associates, LLC, an affiliate of AIM Healthcare Services Inc. He spent the first several years of his healthcare career managing business office and payer relations for HealthSouth Corporation.

In his role as chief development officer, Talbert will plan, coordinate and assure implementation of strategies to market and advance sales growth in direct support of the Aegis mission. "There is a deep professional satisfaction that comes from working with an organization with objectives as compelling as that of Aegis," said Talbert. "Given the financial state of healthcare today, most hospitals need to embrace new strategies to help ensure that they are able to continue to serve their individual communities. Aegis provides just such creative programs, and I eagerly look forward to working with Aegis in support of our nation's hospitals and the communities they serve."

"I am very excited to have someone with Pearson's energy, experience and talent leading our accomplished sales team," said Henry Ross, chief executive officer of Aegis. "The entire Aegis family is looking forward to working closely with him as we develop and execute our strategic initiatives as we move into 2010."

Talbert earned an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor
