Adventist HealthCare Retains B. E. Smith to Recruit New CIO

B. E. Smith, the only full-service leadership solutions firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare providers, has been retained to lead a national chief information officer search for Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, Md. The top executive search firm in the healthcare industry, B. E. Smith has recently placed more than 900 healthcare executives into organizations.

Adventist HealthCare is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization that centers around providing quality and compassionate care to the communities it serves. The system supports 44 campuses with over 7,700 licensed beds and sees 4 million patients a year. The values of Adventist Health System drive its operations and all of the employees remain united under its mission.

Adventist is seeking an experienced senior healthcare executive to lead the strategic direction of health information technology for the integrated healthcare delivery network which includes five nationally accredited acute-care and specialty hospitals, mental health services and home health agencies. The new leader will provide expertise in the definition, adoption and adherence of IT strategies, processes and standards and oversee the delivery of the application and infrastructure architecture of the organization. Adventist is seeking a driven leader, who will not only use their knowledge of strategic planning, but their strong financial acumen to better the organization and establish close partnerships with business stakeholders. This position will report directly to the CEO.
