Advatronix® System Announces Redundant Power Supply Upgrade Option for All Cirrus 1200 Servers
Date:8/19/2013

(PRWEB) August 19, 2013

Advatronix® Systems is pleased to announce that all of their Cirrus™ 1200 servers now include the option to upgrade to a top of the line, 80 PLUS® rated, energy efficient, redundant power supply unit for ultimate reliability and availability. Built around the latest Intel® Xeon® E3v3 platform, The Cirrus™ 1200 is validated for 24x7 quiet, reliable and energy efficient operation. With plenty of processing power, vast amounts of ECC memory and a rock solid, 48TB, speedy storage subsystem, it can handle anything thrown at it.
Redundant power supplies are commonly used in high end computing servers that cannot afford to go offline. A redundant power supply consists of an active enclosure that contains two or more adjacent, hot-swappable power supply modules. These modules operate independently of one other and only one of them actively powers the server while the other stands by. Should a module fail the companion module seamlessly takes over without power interruption. Because of its modular design, the failed module can then be replaced with a new one, also without power interruption. This feature protects the system from the damage, data loss, and business interruption that can result from an unexpected shutdown. By introducing an additional layer of redundancy at the power supply level, IT network administrators are better prepared to lead their battle towards 100% availability and 0% downtime.

The redundant power supplies offered with the Cirrus™ 1200 server, like all power supplies included with Advatronix® servers, have been certified for superior energy efficiency by 80 PLUS® and strenuously tested by in-house engineers to ensure they meet the high quality, efficiency, and reliability standards synonymous with the Advatronix® name.
With the introduction of a redundant power supply option, the already robust Cirrus™ 1200, loaded with advanced features such as hardware RAID and ECC memory standard, has become an even more rock-solid example of server computing done right.
