SALT LAKE CITY, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- AdvancedMD® Software, Inc., a leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle management (RCM) automation solutions designed to optimize medical practices, announced that William H. Stone has joined the executive management team as Vice President and General Manager of Billing Services. Stone will direct all aspects of business development and sales growth related to AdvancedMD business partners, reporting to Eric Morgan, CEO.
Stone will be responsible for launching the new AdvancedBiller partner program designed to provide qualified billing services with marketing, co-selling and lead sharing programs. Unlike most EHR/PM software providers, AdvancedMD has made a commitment to not compete with its billing service partners, but instead supports them with advanced web-based billing and clinical software combined with sales and marketing support to help them grow.
William Stone joins AdvancedMD with more than 17 years of sales and medical billing operations management experience. Prior to joining AdvancedMD, he was Corporate Vice President, Business Development, for MED3OOO, a leading healthcare management and technology company, servicing physician groups, provider networks, and EMS organizations. During his 11 and half-year tenure at MED3OOO, the company grew from a small medical service provider into one of the nation's largest healthcare management companies in the ambulatory outsource service sector, with more than $137 million in recurring revenue under contract and more than 1,700 employees in 15 operating centers across the country.
Stone has been involved in building healthcare management companies his entire career. After earning his graduate degree in health administration, he helped launch a management company, United Physician Affiliates, providing TPA services to a 1,000 + physician organization in Houston, Texas. The management company was ultimately consolidated into Heritage Health Systems, which is now an operating subsidiary of a Fortune 500 Company, Universal American Corp., a provider of health insurance and managed care products and services to the senior population in the United States.
"I see great potential for rapid growth at AdvancedMD," said Stone."Small medical practices throughout the United States have not had access to affordable, leading edge automation tools to assist in the delivery of healthcare. During my years at MED3OOO, I witnessed the improvements that have taken place among the large healthcare delivery systems. I'm excited to be part of an organization that is well positioned to deliver these types of technologies through partnership with leading medical billing companies throughout the US. Traditionally underserved, independent practices are increasingly looking to medical billing companies to improve their bottom-lines. Our billing partners' local relationships with physicians, in combination with our web-based technology, is a winning solution."
Morgan added: "The depth and breadth of Bill's industry knowledge, and his experience in helping MED3OOO grow into the nation's largest, privately-held revenue cycle management company will allow us to accelerate the deployment of our AdvancedBiller partner program. We are delighted that Bill chose to come to work for AdvancedMD."
