Advanced Home Care Adds Electronic Plan of Care Module (ePOC) to Drive

Enhanced Physician Customer Satisfaction

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Authentidate Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: ADAT), a worldwide provider of secure workflow management software and web-based services, today announced that Advanced Home Care, a leading home medical and nursing care organization, is extending its use of the Inscrybe Healthcare platform to include the ePOC module.

Advanced Home Care has been utilizing Inscrybe Healthcare's electronic Certificate of Medical Necessity (eCMN) module to streamline its key operations and reduce their document processing costs. Now, by deploying ePOC, Advanced Home Care's Home Health Agency (HHA) group will experience similar improvements when exchanging POC forms and other interim documentation with their referring physicians. The deployment of the ePOC module also enables Advanced to move closer to achieving its goal of standardizing document processing workflows across its HHA and Home Medical Equipment groups.

Authentidate's secure web-hosted Inscrybe Healthcare platform will enable Advanced Home Care's HHA team to instantly send POC forms to physicians directly from their homecare practice management and billing system. Attending physicians can review and sign POC documents online or receive sign and transmit documentation back to Advanced Home Care via fax.

"We serve a continually growing base of patients across the southeast region. The increasing volume of health orders calls for a flexible approach in communicating with physicians. We like Inscrybe's ability to route physician POC orders in a paperless electronic mode and in a hybrid electronic to paper mode. As electronic health records gain greater acceptance, we think Inscrybe's communications flexibility allows us to offer the best possible service to physicians signing our health orders," said Kimberly Brummett, Vice President, Advanced Home Care.

"We are pleased to be associated with a progressive company like Advanced Home Care. Their selection of Inscrybe Healthcare to streamline their documentation workflow demonstrates a commitment to electronic health records and process efficiency. Linked to their practice management system, Inscrybe enables faster turnaround of required documentation, improved customer service and a significant reduction in unbilled orders," said Paul Skinner, Vice President of Sales and Client Services for Authentidate.
