AdvaMed Available for Comment on Medical Device Safety Act
Date:3/5/2009

WASHINGTON, March 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Stephen J. Ubl, president and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), is available today to discuss the Medical Device Safety Act to be introduced today in Congress.

If the Act were to become law, it would:

  • Chill innovation and limit patient access to cutting-edge, life-enhancing therapies; and
  • Dramatically alter the regulatory environment for certain medical devices, by creating new avenues for litigation.

To arrange an interview with Steve Ubl, please contact: Wanda Moebius at 202-434-7240.
