AdvaMed 2008 Sponsor Participation Increases by 52%

65 Total Sponsors: Covidien, Johnson & Johnson, Ernst & Young, and Kaplan Eduneering Return as Hosts

WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AdvaMed 2008's list of sponsors includes industry leaders, consulting firms, law firms, investment banks, and government agencies including the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development & Trade (MEDT) and the Puerto Rican Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO). The number of sponsors increased this year by 52% to 65 organizations this year, up from 43 in 2007.

Ubl, president and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). "This year, all aspects of the conference - from registration and exhibitors, to supporting organizations and presenting companies - have experienced significant double digit growth. We appreciate the level of support from industry stakeholders, international delegations, and economic development agencies and are grateful for their engagement in helping make AdvaMed 2008 a success."

The conference offers industry stakeholders the opportunity to participate in more than 55 panel sessions covering a variety of key industry issues, including: 21st Century Health Policy, Business Development & Finance, Compliance & Best Practices, Emerging Company Issues, Global Business Issues, Legal & Intellectual Property, Medical Technology Production Innovation, Product Quality & Manufacturing Innovation, Quality Management, Regulatory, and Reimbursement.

AdvaMed 2008 also provides sector-specific business development activities ranging from company presentations to partnering meetings as well as numerous networking forums and an extensive exhibition.

Representatives from more than 500 companies and 35 states and 25 countries are expected to attend this year's conference. <
