Elberton, GA (PRWEB) December 15, 2012

Rehabmart.com, an online e-commerce company that sells rehabilitation and medical supplies, has joined into a distribution agreement with Freedom Concepts to offer their Adventurer Series Tricycles for adults to a larger consumer market. Freedom Concepts has been developing, designing and creating a full line of special needs bicycles and mobility devices since 1991. Realizing that many individuals of all ages have never experienced the thrill, exhilaration and simple joys of riding a bike, Freedom Concepts develops mobility solutions that accommodate the special needs of children and adults with disabilities including spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, Angelman Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, recovery from stroke and other injuries and trauma to the body, and visual impairment. Any bike that Freedom Concepts creates can be further customized and adjusted to the exact specifications and unique requirements of the individual user, providing therapy, fun, freedom, recreation and mobility to people who have never ridden a bike before.

Offering the same list of features as their popular Discovery series, the Freedom Concepts' Adventurer Series Tricycles bring an added dimension of comfort and support for the adult rider. As one of the larger trike models, its full 34 inch rear stance gives extra support for those recovering from strokes, or requiring extra stability for the ride. The Adventurer's walk-through design and step-on platform make getting on and off the bike as simple as sitting down in a comfortable chair, and the handlebars, seat and crank mechanisms are all fully adjustable to each user's specifications, with the ability to move the handlebars and telescopic posts completely out of the way for additional ease during transfers on and off the bike.

The Adventurer features two rear hand brakes for stopping safety, that can be mounted on the handlebars, or on the discreet assistance handle or rear steer handle for a companion or caregiver to operate. The stable three wheel design is equipped with a direct drive gearing system to allow backwards pedaling to build momentum to move forward, and has seven optional speeds to offer the selection of easy or challenging pedaling. Standard and special features abound for the Adventurer Adult Tricycle, allowing every user to customize this bike to fit their own personal needs. “We are thrilled to introduce more consumers to the amazing features of the Adventurer Series Tricycles for adults from Freedom Concepts,” said Hulet Smith, OTR/L, MBA, and CEO of Rehabmart. “Whether you're an avid cyclist that is experiencing some age-related disabilities, or a cyclist that is rehabilitating from stroke or injury, or an adult that has never ridden a bike of any kind due to physical challenges, the Adventurer is the trike for you. We are proud to offer this, and all of the great bikes and tricycles for special needs designed by Freedom Concepts to our customers at Rehabmart.com.”
