Administrators of Three BMA Assisted Living Communities Graduate from Executive Director Leadership Institute

Bradley, IL (PRWEB) May 09, 2013

Administrators of three BMA affordable assisted living communities graduated today from the Assisted Living Federation of America’s (ALFA) Executive Director Leadership Institute.

The administrators are Ellie Baum, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Chicago; Meghan Chasek, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Moline; and Melanie Daniels, Administrator of John Evans Supportive Living in Pekin, Illinois.

The institute was conducted in conjunction with the ALFA 2013 Conference and Expo that was held from May 6 through 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Leadership Institute is an intense university-level educational experience designed specifically for executives of assisted living and senior living communities.

The curriculum combines rigorous academic work with real-world work-skills development and is offered in partnership with the Erickson School of Aging Studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Heritage Woods of Chicago is an affordable assisted living community located at Fulton and California on Chicago’s west side. The community serves low-income seniors, including those on Medicaid.

Heritage Woods of Moline is located near John Deere Rd. and 53rd St. in Moline, Illinois. The community serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

John Evans Supportive Living is an affordable assisted living community located off 14th St. in Tazewell County, Illinois. The community serves seniors of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

All three communities are managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

BMA operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 apartments.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management.
