www.AccumedResearch.com Aims to Increase Local Enrollment of Medical Clinical Trials

(PRWEB) March 29, 2010 -- In a move aimed at reaching out to a larger local patient population, leading clinical trial and patient care site Accumed Research Associates of Garden City, NY on long Island has launched its official website.

The website, http://www.AccumedResearch.com/, provides comprehensive information on all of the clinical trials conducted at the company’s Garden City, New York site on Long Island. The company conducts clinical trials or research studies to test the effects and safety of new investigational medications, medical treatments, or devices on patients with various clinical conditions.

Speaking about what motivated Accumed Research to build a presence on the World Wide Web, founder of the company Dr. Mitchell D. Efros, M.D., FACS, said, “We want people to know that there are some excellent options available for treatment of various conditions that might not be available to most patients whose doctors do not have the availability or access to clinical trials. Clinical trials afford us the opportunity to remain on the cutting edge of new technologies and treatments and offer this to our patients.” Dr Efros continued, “In many instances the patients receive their study related care and medication for free and are compensated for their time and travel as well. Our patients receive safe and compassionate care and we want people to know about these options."

Accumed Research is currently conducting clinical research study on several urologic conditions including enlarged prostate (BPH), incontinence or urinary urgency incontinence, overactive bladder (OAB), nocturia, erectile dysfunction, and cancer of prostate and bladder.
