Abington Health Website Named Best in Class
Date:7/28/2014

Abington, PA (PRWEB) July 28, 2014

The website, which is hosted by Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, went live in January 2014. The honor recognizes that the project met and surpassed the basic standards of excellence that comprise the web’s most professional work. The site was honored specifically for excellence in Healthcare.

“What pleases me the most is that we scored very highly in both the content and usability categories,” said Joshua Snow, web manager, Abington Health. “We spent months reworking and editing the existing content so our pages were shorter and more readable. It was also exciting that we were able to create a site using responsive design so that it will work on any platform or device the visitor is using.”

The judging consisted of various criteria, including design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content. In order to win this award level, the site had to meet strict guidelines in each area — an achievement only a fraction of sites in the Interactive Media Awards competition earn each quarter. One of only seven healthcare organizations to receive the award out of 196 entries, Abington Health scored 493 out of a possible 500.
