The cargo, which was transported by the Church to Wilmington, will be loaded onto a McDonnell Douglas DC8 today and will leave for Lima, Peru, at 7 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday). DHL is providing ground operational support in Wilmington to facilitate the transport of the shipment. The flight is expected to take eight hours. The goods will then be transported to the Pisco area and distributed by the office of Pilar Nores de Garcia, the First Lady of Peru.

The ultra-high temperature milk was provided to the Church by Gossner Foods based in Logan, Utah, and has been specially processed and packaged so that no refrigeration is required until it is opened. According to Peru's First Lady, food and milk continue to be the most needed items along with shelter.

This project is part of the Church's ongoing work with Pisco residents to find safe housing, food and water. Thousands of blankets have already been sent and Church buildings in Peru have been used for shelter.
