Unique Storage and Transportation System Reduces Endoscope Cross-contamination and Protects Scopes from Damage

New Infection Prevention Solution for Busy GI Suites

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), division of Ethicon Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of the CLEANASCOPE System, a new infection prevention solution designed to reduce the risk of cross-contamination of endoscopes and cross-infection of patients in healthcare facilities that provide GI procedures.

The CLEANASCOPE System is a unique storage and transportation system that offers easy visual identification of clean versus contaminated endoscopes. Its protective transportation box helps to avoid accidental damage to the equipment and allows for easy mobility around the GI suite.

As hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) increase, endoscope repair costs rise and infection prevention procedure guidelines become more stringent, providing hospital staff with a high level of standardization for the processing of endoscopes and other delicate equipment is more important than ever. To fulfill this growing need and demonstrate its commitment to following the Society of Gastroenterological Nursing Association (SGNA) and Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Standards and Recommended Practices, ASP is now the exclusive U.S. distributor of the CLEANASCOPE System.
