APR Energy Launching Haiti Relief Efforts
Date:2/3/2010

rom Opa Locka, located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. In addition to medical supplies, each flight will have the capacity to carry up to 30 doctors, nurses and other volunteer aid workers into the country. Three additional shipments will take place on Feb. 2 and 3.

Once the flight lands at the airport in Haiti, APR Energy in- country employees will coordinate work with the volunteers to distribute the supplies to the Hospital de L'Universite d'Etat d'Haiti. Retired US Navy Capt. Steve Johnson, a consultant for APR Energy, as well as APR Energy Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Libby Owen will be two of the volunteers overseeing the first delivery of disaster relief supplies.

“In the weeks, months and years following this tragedy, it is crucial that relief efforts remain on time and consistent,” said Libby Owen. “The delivery of these supplies will provide hope and comfort to the injured, as well as much needed assistance to the incredible doctors, nurses and volunteers who are saving lives amongst this disaster. I am honored to represent APR and participate in the recovery of Haiti.”

These shipments are not the first charitable donation project that APR Energy has executed for the poverty- stricken country of Haiti. In late 2004, APR Energy worked with PROJECT C.U.R.E. to deliver a package of approximately $350,000 worth of overstock medical supplies to the Hospital de L'Universite d'Etat d'Haiti. APR then donated a back- up generating unit in 2005 to this same hospital while it was experiencing power outages interfering with day to day hospital operations. The 640kW generator that was donated is currently functioning normally, proving a source of emergency electricity to the hospital.

APR Energy has been installing and operating temporary power facilities <
