APR Energy Launching Haiti Relief Efforts

APR Energy is assisting in the donation of an amazing 100,000 pounds of medical supplies to the devastated country of Haiti. The supplies will be delivered by four air- freighted shipments and are part of APR Energy’s ongoing community service programs.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) February 3, 2010 -- Following the tragedy of the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, many corporations all over the world have been offering their support to the recovery of the nation. APR Energy (APR) is doing its part by teaming up with various non- profit organizations to deliver approximately 100,000 pounds of much needed supplies to Haiti during this time of crisis.

APR Energy is partnering with PROJECT C.U.R.E., a nonprofit humanitarian relief organization that distributes medical supplies, equipment and services globally, as well as the Yéle Haiti Foundation, another charitable organization that reinforces education, health, environmental and community development projects in Haiti, to air- freight shipments of medical supplies into the country. The materials will be delivered specifically to Partners in Health (PIH), a group running the Hospital de L'Universite d'Etat d'Haiti, which experienced severe damage due to the earthquake. The medical supplies including surgical gowns, sterile gloves, and intravenous anesthesia kits, were all collected by PROJECT C.U.R.E. through their overstock medical supplies donation program. On Saturday, January 30, 2010 a team of volunteers from APR Energy and various other companies will fly to Haiti to deliver and distribute cargo containing approximately 25,000 pounds of supplies.
